From the Archives: Beating Writer’s Block – one category at a time

As some of you know, I’m going to be out of commission for awhile.  I’m having a minor surgery done, so I won’t be checking in as often for a week or two.  I didn’t want to leave you all hanging, so I’ve scheduled for some of my most popular posts (&  some personal favorites) to republish automatically while I’m out.

I’ll still come by to check comments, but I may be slower than usual.

Ten Ways To Beat Writer’s Block

I know that writer’s block can be a problem.  It is the scary monster that hides under our bed and gives us nightmares (or maybe that’s figuring out why our characters are not doing what we want them to do).  Either way, I thought I’d provide a list of ten ways to beat writer’s block.  These are unscientific, unchecked, but might be helpful anyway…

A Little Big Change – My First Writer’s Group

If you are very observant (and this isn’t the first time visiting), you’ll notice a tiny change in my site.  If you don’t that’s understandable (after all, I’ve made major renovations ever few days).

So, I took the “(Aspiring)” out of my blog subtitle (I said it was a tiny change).

I know this isn’t a lot, but I’ve got 20 blog posts under my belt, at least a chapter or two for my book, and last night I went to my first writer’s group meeting.  Oh yeah, and I remembered that I have had a poem published (ok, it was in first grade, but does that really matter?).
