Behind

You’d think that, what with a week vacation planned, getting ready for said vacation, and having the kids home from school, I would have maybe planned ahead.

That didn’t happen.

So, I’m a bit behind on my FAD challenge.  How much is a bit?  About nine thousand words (yes, 9,000) as I write this.

Now, not all of this is from my vacation days.  I was behind by about 5,000 by the time we headed into our vacation.  Part of the problem there was (I think) that I didn’t plan for this ahead of time.  Not that I didn’t have the time, but it wasn’t at the front of my thoughts… and I’d forget.

Anyone else far behind?  Strategies for catching up?  Did better planning?
