Here you’ll find links to all the flash fiction pieces I’ve posted – in one place. I’ve arranged them in the order I wrote them, but I tried to add a word or two to describe each one (I wouldn’t want somebody to accidentally read something creepy right before bed). Here you go:
Held at Bay (tense)
Adventures of a Young Boy (charming)
Served (deflating)
A Walk in the Park (humorous)
A Mixed Bag (poem, fanciful)
Janus (dark)
A Long Night (touch of humor)
For Love, With Love (sweet, hopeful)
Light at the End (creepy)
Smashed (sad)
The Fault (sciencey, ironic)
From Granny’s Attic (futuristic)
The Last Word (creepy)
Okay Shannon, I’m about to browse through your flash fiction, but I’m going to tell you this before I even start to read your stories. Just from what I’ve read so far from your blog site, I think you should get your (blank-blank) novel finished so I can read it. Your words are so entertaining. And I’m not trying to entice you with compliments. Shoot, after reading your post, I’m actually thinking, should I be writing. Thoughts gone now.
Working on it, working on it!
Sorry, but I *did* have a minor hangup when I forgot my protagonist was supposed to be very pregnant (oopsies!).
Novels are very different from essays/articles (which I am pretty good and, and which most blog posts are, in effect). This is my first one, so a little patience please
I hope you enjoy the short works. They are all about 100 words – although I haven’t put my best ones up yet – I’m saving those for later
P.S. I had to put this reply in TWICE since the “new” WP isn’t working!
